After School Classes

Asha Trust enables young people to attend after school tuition in English, Sinhala, maths and science. Tuition is a routine feature of education in Sri Lanka, and is accepted as the only way to pass exams. Exam success will significantly enhance employment opportunities for these eager pupils.

This project promotes equality of opportunity amongst a group of highly disadvantaged young people. We receive regular feedback of how these young people are doing - many have passed their exams, some have gone on to further education while others have found work.

A recently received email stated

‘’ I wish to thank Asha Trust friends for your support over past 2 years, ….  I  have a job and I’m very happy with it"
