Asha Trust is a UK registered charity supporting projects in challenging communities in Sri Lanka. We have worked in tsunami affected areas in the past. The work is led by the team in Sri Lanka, who run a range of community based programmes including a project for teenage mothers, a special needs school and employment training programmes. The Trust also supports two under-resourced schools in the communities where we work.

Asha Trust ( Sri Lanka) is a volunteer led organisation, having no paid staff, but an excess of good will and commitment from many.

We are committed to using all donations on the projects in Sri Lanka, not on overheads or admin. During 2009, the exception of the necessary fee for producing our accounts, we have been able to fulfil this commitment.

Asha Trust is led by a board of trustees: Steve Bynon (Chair), Glenda Abbott, Radhika Bynon, Stephen Carrick-Davies, Angeline Cassell, Gary Ewer, Peter Stow.
