Children with disabilities

There are a disproportionate number of children with various disabilities in this community- over 30 in the immediate neighbourhood, and many more beyond.  The team have been supporting the families and we’ve made a link with an excellent team of specialists in  Colombo who have seen the children on a monthly basis. We’ve taken several health workers and specialists from the UK over the years, and the local team now have a better understanding of the specific needs of the individual children. The new centre will enable us to provide regular activities for these children. The building has been planned with special needs in mind.
